    In this episode, Rolonda talks with Paul Viollis, a risk control specialist and an affiliate of the Florida Police Chief's Association, about the recent resignation of Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson and others, amid charges of money tooling and blatant and repeated discrimination, particularly against minorities. Paul argues that these atrocities are systematic and that American communities are just as much to blame as the cops because of their growing indifference. With over 90 honorary doctorate degrees and dozens of awards, Maya Angelou became a celebrated poet, memoirist, educator, dramatist, producer, dancer, actress, historian, filmmaker, and civil rights activist, who fought for justice with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X. She published seven autobiographies, three books of essays, and several books of poetry, and was credited with a list of plays, movies, and television shows spanning over 50 years. Maya Angelou is best known for her autobiography, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. At 86, she was still working on at least 16 other projects, including setting her poetry to rap music to appeal to the next generation. Maya Angelou is someone worth celebrating this Black History Month and always.
